Happy {very} Belated Halloween
A couple of months before Halloween I was trying to think of costumes I could dress the girls up in for Halloween. I didn't want 2 totally random costumes, I wanted them to be coordinating. All of the twin costumes I found were 2 peas in a pod, Thing 1 & Thing 2, etc. I really wasnt that excited about the ones I found so I asked one of my best friends, Kristen and she came up with the brilliant idea of dressing the girls up as Glinda & Elphaba from Wicked. I thought this was a genius idea but thought it would be to hard to pull off because in the show Elphaba's skin in painted green and I obviously wasn't going to paint Sophie's skin. :) I looked online and there were no baby Wicked costumes to be found. I kind of did my own version by making the girls each a tutu and a wand and then finding a little minature witches hat and a little princess crown. I thought that their costumes actually came out super cute!!
We took the girls to our ward trunk or treat and everyone LOVED their costumes. They obviously had no idea what was going on, but they were having fun just being outside in the nice weather and being surrounded by a bunch of kids.
Overall I would say this Halloween was a success, but I can totally see why a lot of moms hate this holiday! Now it is time to start thinking of next years costumes!

10/19/10 = 1 year
I cannot believe that our girls are 1 already! This year has gone by so fast. It makes me sad to think about them growing up but at the same time it is so much fun to see them grow. We had a little birthday party for them over the weekend and they got so spoiled. Sophie is still not eating much on her own, but we are practicing everyday with baby food and she seems to like it, so that is a good sign. Olivia on the other hand LOVES her food. We have started giving her pretty much all table food and letting her feed herself. Yes, she ends up with it everywhere, but she has fun doing it and I know I just have to let her do it on her own or else she will never learn. :) Sophie is still just army crawling but can now pull herself up to the couch and Olivia will be walking here shortly. She will stand for a few seconds on her own but when she realizes it she just sits down. Boy are they growing up fast!!
We are so thankful for our sweet little girls. We have waiting for a long time for them to be apart of our family and we just can't get enough of them!
Happy 1st birthday Olivia & Sophie!!! We love you SO much!!

ouch!

Olivia had her 1st real injury today. She fell down some steps at my moms house
and hit her face on the tile. Papa was babysitting her when it happened and he
said she only cried for about 20 seconds and then she was fine. It looks like
she is going to be one tough little girl. Her forhead is now totally bruised
and she will probably have a pretty big black eye.
It makes me so sad when I look at her because it looks like it hurts so bad,
but when I touch it she doesn't even flinch.
I guess this little injury is just preparing me for whats comin' in the future.

graduation
On Wed. Olivia graduated from physical therapy. Both girls have been going to treat their torticollis. Olivia has been doing so good that Ms. Jess (the best PT EVER) said that she didn't need to come anymore. Sophie on the other hand still needs to go, so we will still get to play with Ms. Jess every week. Sophie has come a LONG way from when we first started. We are so proud of both our girls for the improvements they have made!

My how my girls have grown!
Olivia is into EVERYTHING now.
She is army crawling everywhere and
finds any little thing to put in her mouth.
Sophie is still a little behind her sissy, but
she is doing good. She can pretty much sit
up by herself, but still needs the Boppy to catch
her when she falls.
It is so much fun to see their personalities develop
and watch them discover the world around them.
Both girls now have 2 bottom teeth, and boy do
they look cute when they smile their big toothy smiles!
Happy {late} 9 months girls!

Cali '10 cont...
Olivia is totally into the sand and Sophie as you can see could care less.
It was actually quite chilly out on the beach so we haven't been able to
put our suits on and enjoy the sun. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better
beach day.

The girls are loving the beach! This is their first time experiencing sand. Olivia wasn't to sure what to do with it so she would grab handfuls and then pour it all over her legs. :) Sophie loved to put her feet in the sand, but wasn't to sure about touching it with her hands. Sophie slept through the fireworks and Olivia was got so excited to see all of the pretty colors. We miss you daddy!!!

Happy (times 2)
Sophie is a pro at making us laugh. She started scrunching her nose when she smiles and it cracks us up every single time. By these pictures you would never know that she was put Thursday, June 3, 2010
Memorial Day
For Memorial Day we had a little family bbq at my aunt's house. The water was still a little chilly but Olivia sure didn't mind! She was in heaven being in the water. It was still a little to cold for Sophie, so I took her in the hot tub which was pretty much the same temp. as her bath water and she was much happier. I can't wait until the water gets warmer so we can go swimming on all of my days off. :)Happy
Olivia is one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. She LOVES to just sit and play with her toys and it is a bonus if Sophie joins her. Olivia gets so excited when Sophie is near her playing on the ground. She is such a sweet big (by 1 minute) sister. When she gets tired she will just suck her thumb and start to "sing" herself to sleep. It is the cutest song you will ever hear! :) testing

Silly girls
Olivia is starting to realize that her voice can get really loud. She loves to play on the floor with her toys. She will lay there forever totally content.
Sophie started sucking on her tounge and it makes me laugh every time she does it. She makes us laugh all the time.

Mug shot
Sophie had an evaluation for a Doc Band (helmet). These are the pictures they took of her. It looks like they are mug shots. Oh ya, she also got a feeding tube last week because she just wasn't eating enough. We can already tell that it is making a difference. She feels heavier and she is starting to look like she is actually getting the nutrients she needs. Hopefully our little peanut will plump up like her sissy.
