Little scare (long post)

I had a doctors appointment on Tuesday and since I am considered high risk my doctor did a test that can determine if you will go into labor within the next 2 weeks. He also checked me just to make sure I wasn't dialating, but to our suprise I was dialated to a 1. The doctor sent me home and told me to keep on taking it easy. On Wed. I started feeling a lot of pressure but really didn't think anything about it and if it was going to get worse I was going to give the doctor a call. The doctor beat me to it and gave me a call to give me the results of my test...POSITIVE! I also told him that I was having a lot of pressure so he told me to come right into his office to he could do a check up to make sure I wasn't dialating anymore. I was still only dialated to a 1, but he wanted me to be admitted to the hospital for a few days to be monitored and to start on steroids for the babies lungs just incase I was to go into labor.

I was admitted to the hospital and they started me on the contraction monitor and much to our suprise I was contracting every 2 - 3 mintues, but I didn't even know I was contracting because I didn't even feel them. They started me on my first shot of steroids and gave me my first shot of Tribitulane to stop the contractions (which worked instantly). The steroid shots are giving in 2 doses and if everything was looking ok I was going to be able to home on Friday the 11th. On Thursday I didn't have any contractions, just a little irratability so my doctor was really happy about that (as were we). Friday afternoon came and my doctor came in to check me and said that I could go home.. HAPPY DAY!! He said I had to be on bed rest, but I had bathroom and shower privliges. :)

So here I am laying on the couch like the doctor ordered and my wonderful hubby is taking the best care of me. We are so thankful that the girls were not born and that they are still growing so big (Baby A 3 lbs / Baby B 3 lbs 3 oz)

Here I leave you with a wonderful picture my mom took of me with the contraction montior and 2 monitors so listen to the babies hearbeats. I can tell you that it gets a little uncomfortable when they are all tied around your belly.

Bo and I want to thank everyone for all of the prayers and concerns during this time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

28 weeks

Today I am 28 weeks. I had my last appointment last week and the doctor did an ultrasound of the girls to check and make sure they were growing at about the same rate. To our suprise the girls are actually measuring the exact same size (2 lbs 8 oz.) :) My doctor also said that I probably won't make it to 36 weeks, but he would be pleased if I delivered at 32 weeks (only 4 weeks away!!!) Of course we are going to try to keep them in there as long as we can. Other than that, everything looks great and I start going to the doctor once a week now just to be on the safe side.

I don't really ever crave any kind of food, but what I do crave is lemon scented 409. I cannot get enough of that smell! Too bad they don't make a candle or Scentsy that smells like it. :)
