Ew Ew Ew!

Last night after Bo and I got done watching Season 5 of 24 we headed off to bed, and as I was walking down the hallway I was met with the scariest friend I could possibly imagine. We will call him Scorpy. That is the first time in my life that I have EVER had a scorpion in my house and I probably freaked out more than I should have. Of course I made Bo kill it because I was deathly afraid of it, but I still worry that it will come back to life, crawl out of the garbage can and hunt me down and sting me. Lets hope that he doesn't have any other friends in our house because they will NOT survive!! Here is a picture of Scorpy before Bo so willingly put him to rest. :) Sorry it isn't a great picture....I just so happened to have my cell phone in my hand.

I got these boxes for my birthday from 2 of my friends and I thought they were too cute not to share. I believe they got them at Michael's and they come in all different sizes. Happy blogging!

Carbohydrates

So, my friend Susie that I work with has been REALLY sick these past few weeks and hasn't been at work. She had several tests done and come to find out it is the antibiotics that she took for a sinus infection a while back that made her sick. She is leaving to go on a cruise this Saturday and she hasn't eatin for about 2 weeks and lets just say she is the size of a little teeny tiny toothpick. YIKES! So I came up with this great idea! What is Susie's FAVORITE food???? BAGELS!!! I thought to myself, what easier way to gain weight than eating a ton o' bagels! So now it is almost 9:30 and I am blogging about my wonderful creation. :) Are you ready? Here it is......"basket o' bagels" Creative huh?! :) I thought so. I hope you like it as much as I do (AND I hope Susie likes it even more!)

The Best!

I just have to say that I have the greatest husband! A few weeks ago Bo went to the grocery store to buy a few things, and then about an hour later he comes in the bathroom (i was getting ready for the day) and is holding dead stinky flowers in his hands. He told me that when he went to the store he bought me some flowers but then he forgot they were in the car and so they sat there and rotted. GROSS! They were so stinky so I just told him to throw them away and that he should buy me some more flowers another day. :) Well, we were at Costco yesterday (buying the whole store) and we walked by the flowers and he said I could pick out ANY flowers that I wanted since my other ones were dead. I was so excited! Of course I picked the prettiest pink roses there were and now every time I see them sitting on our table i get a huge smile on my face!! Thanks honey!! I love you!! :)

Cora Ann Whitaker

I went and saw Shelbi and her sweet baby Cora. I can not believe how small she is! She is the cutest little girl! Cora is doing great! She almost got up on all 4's and was ready to crawl right out of the NICU....it was too cute!! Here are a few pictures I snapped. She was getting a little tanning session in so she had to wear her protective "goggles" :) Cora weighs in at 2 lbs 9 oz. and I believe she is 16 in. long (but I could be wrong)

I just want to pick her up and love on her (that is her mommy's hand making sure she doesn't loose her binky)

She already loves me! She is holding my hand. :)

I just wanted to give a shout out to Shelbi. She had her sweet baby girl on Sunday. Shelbi and Cora are doing well. Cora's lungs are fully developed and she is doing great. I am going to see her today after work and will post more pictures of her. Oh ya...Nellie is such a proud big sister! :)

6. I eat a poptart every morning for breakfast. Not just any poptart though...it HAS to be the brown sugar/cinnomon kind. All of the other kinds are gross!

7. Out of habit I always put my emergency break on, even though my car is automatic.

Update

I have been really bad lately about updating my blog! Sorry!! We have been a little busy. We finally moved into our new house and we LOVE LOVE it!! It is just down the street from my moms house, which we love. So...if anyone wants to come visit, feel free!!

I just found out that my really good friend Shelbi is in the hospital because her unborn baby is not growing like she should. Shelbi isn't due for about 2 months but the doctor said that she will most likely have her baby within 3 weeks by c-section. Please keep her and her family in your prayers as they go through this difficult time. I LOVE YOU SHELBI!!
