I was admitted to the hospital and they started me on the contraction monitor and much to our suprise I was contracting every 2 - 3 mintues, but I didn't even know I was contracting because I didn't even feel them. They started me on my first shot of steroids and gave me my first shot of Tribitulane to stop the contractions (which worked instantly). The steroid shots are giving in 2 doses and if everything was looking ok I was going to be able to home on Friday the 11th. On Thursday I didn't have any contractions, just a little irratability so my doctor was really happy about that (as were we). Friday afternoon came and my doctor came in to check me and said that I could go home.. HAPPY DAY!! He said I had to be on bed rest, but I had bathroom and shower privliges. :)
So here I am laying on the couch like the doctor ordered and my wonderful hubby is taking the best care of me. We are so thankful that the girls were not born and that they are still growing so big (Baby A 3 lbs / Baby B 3 lbs 3 oz)
Here I leave you with a wonderful picture my mom took of me with the contraction montior and 2 monitors so listen to the babies hearbeats. I can tell you that it gets a little uncomfortable when they are all tied around your belly.
Bo and I want to thank everyone for all of the prayers and concerns during this time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

6 love notes:
So glad you are home and that the girls are still growing inside you. I am excited for your shower today!!! LOVE YA!
So glad they are still cookin! I had to get the same test. Not fun to do but awesome that they can see if you will could go into labor within the next 2 weeks. Dont you love the shower/bathroom privliges!? Glad you are in Dr. Holmes hands for this. He is always on the cautious side
Megan, I had no idea! I missed that bit of info at your shower, I heard someone tell you to take it easy and something about bedrest, but had no clue they were talking about you! I am so sorry! Even MORE SO since I asked you to hold Briggs while I used the bathroom. I AM SO SORRY! I'm glad you got to come home for your shower. I'll try and keep better posted on you.
So glad you are home, got those steroids in, the terb worked, and the girls get some more time in the oven! Good luck Meg. Have your mom call my mom when you go into labor and I can call into the hospital and get you a good nurse :)
Megs, sheesh, that is crazy! I'm glad everything worked out. Keep us posted. It was so good to see you and I wish I could have made it to your shower. Everyone said it was so fun.
I remember this all too well! honestly, it's as if I wrote this myself. However I wasn't as lucky as you on the bathroom privileges. (I was at a 4) Your girls are growing great!!!!! I have the biggest testimony of modern medicine. When the girls were born the respiratory doctor turned to us and said "you just witnessed the miracle of steroid shots" He said it so intense and serious.
I got that same shot, both doses, at 28 weeks and he said thats the ONLY reason I was able to bring them home with me from the hospital. I'm sooo happy your girls are getting those benefits! Every day they stay in your belly is 4 days in the NICU. So keep em' growing love! I wish I could go back to bedrest these day but I know being on it was hell. Hang in there Megan!!!
